A letter from the candidate
My name is Credo Amouzouvik, and I am running for Congress in the 7th Congressional District of Tennessee. My campaign is focused on fixing the economy, creating jobs and improving our schools. I think we can all agree that those should be our first priorities.
Let’s work together on bringing jobs to back our state, keeping those we have here, and getting our children ready to compete in competitive 21st century economy.
Education is the “new world currency,” so in order to have a strong and vibrant economy, we need a strong and vibrant education system. That means that our children must become more proficient in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math; that’s what will get our nation ahead, and that is what will keep us there.
Continuing the failed policy of teaching to the test, and beating up on our teachers will not get us there. As your congressman, I will support our local schools and school boards in their efforts to hire and retain the best and brightest teachers, work to provide our children with the best school facilities possible, ensure that our schools are safer and remain drug free zones, and the final step is to bring the parents into the schools so that the entire community is working together to give our kids the best possible education.
I will support and I will fight to protect the rights of our women, the Unions and our working class, I will support our men and women who serve or have served in our armed forces, I will support our public our public employees, and our senior citizens.
We currently have a Congressional Representative right now who is not working on behalf of the hard working people of our district, as she has practically voted against anything that will help our district; and that is something I will not do. When voting in Congress, as your Congressman, I will always consult my conscience and my constituents; and not my party, corporate lobbyists, and those who give me campaign contributions as my opponent likes to do.
Let me be your voice in Washington, DC, elect me to represent you and to fight for you and your rights. I am Credo Amouzouvik, I am your next Congressman.
